Matt Rodda MP

Matt was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Reading East constituency in June 2017. Prior to becoming an MP, Matt was a Councillor with Reading Borough Council and has represented Katesgrove Ward from 2011 to 2018.
Matt believes in fairness for all, in high quality public services, and in an economy that works for everyone – not just the lucky few. He worked in the university sector before being elected to Parliament and prior to this he was a civil servant in the Department for Education.
In addition to his constituency role, Matt is the Shadow Minister for Pensions and is a member of Keir Starmer’s front bench.
Matt has lived in Reading for over 18 years. He is married with two children who attend a local state school.
Windsor CLP were delighted to have Matt as our guest speaker in February 2020 in our last face to face meeting before the lockdown started.
