Barry Gardiner MP

Barry Gardiner has been the MP for Brent North constituency since 1997.

He was the Shadow Secretary of State fro Energy and Climate Change and Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade from 2016 to 2020.

On 16th June 2021 Barry’s Private Member’s Bill was introduced to Parliament to outlaw the practice of fire and rehire in the UK.  The Conservatives defeated a closure motion by a majroity of 63 with 188 MPs voting in favour and 251 against to force a vote on legislation proposed by Barry Gardiner aiming to efffectively ban the practice of fire and rehire.

Windsor Labour Party were delighted that Barry could join our meeting in November 2021.
